Course: WRT005 Composition & Literature I for International Writers
Proposal: Students will produce a multimodal narrative project based on Mr. Ballen’s "strange" history storytelling, which will engage them in archival research to compose a formal narrative essay and then transform it into a high-production digital rendition. This project shifts the writing process from an abstract academic task into a scaffolded, creative performance. Utilizing trending storytelling formats teaches students the nuances of American culture and communication styles that traditional textbooks often miss. As a result, students will gain competence in rhetorical versatility, technological literacy, cultural confidence, and their own linguistic empowerment.
