Proposal: The modification to the Genetics (BIOS115) curriculum aims to elevate AI integration by transitioning from passive interaction to active system design, clinical simulation, and critical evaluation. Students will develop AI-driven patient profiles incorporating complex genetic and psychosocial data, subsequently engaging in longitudinal care management and multi-disciplinary clinical decision-making. By programming these AI cases and interrogating them for bias and reliability, learners will cultivate the analytical skepticism and professional judgment essential for navigating the evolving landscape of digital healthcare. Furthermore, integrating experiential, human-centered simulation bridges digital modeling with authentic clinical communication, fostering a comprehensive understanding of ethics, diagnostic reasoning, and systems thinking.
