Course: Sleep and Physical Activity in Population Health
Proposal: The goal of this faculty fellowship is to transform students from passive users of technology into active designers of solutions for real-world public health challenges. The course will be enhanced by more fully integrating wearable technology, experiential learning, and extended reality (XR) into the learning process. Students will collect and analyze longitudinal physical activity and sleep data, then apply their findings to design innovative VR-based health interventions. In collaboration with CITL and OEIA, the project will provide technical, pedagogical, and lab support to strengthen students' technology, data visualization, and creative problem-solving skills.
Collaborators: Steve Sakasitz, Tarah Cicero, Jeff Olimpo (assessment)
