10:00 - 11:00 AM -Improving Student Motivation and Learning Outcomes with Alternative Grading Models
Can our models of assessment build student motivation and improve learning outcomes? In this workshop, we'll examine the connections between assessment models, motivation, and learning. We'll look at how grading policies impact student motivation; discuss holistic models of learning that prepare students to take ownership over their education journey; and explore a number of alternative grading systems that aim to shift the focus of the classroom away from negotiating points to active participation and student engagement. 11:00 AM - Noon - Integrating AI Literacy into Your Course
This workshop introduces practical frameworks for incorporating AI literacy into teaching and learning. Faculty will explore strategies for helping students critically engage with AI tools, examine ethical considerations, and see examples of literacy-informed approaches across disciplines.
